Serena L. was born in the soggy and frigid spring of March, 1991 within the Prairies of Canada. While rarely seen without a sketchbook somewhere on their person, Serena pursued an education in Drama and Visual Arts, graduating with an Honors in Visual Arts. Serena began self publishing comics in 2015 and continues to pursue related studies to improve their abilities to portray compelling stories through the medium.

In Your Closets was initially being conceived as a gag between friends that stuck around long enough to become an identifiable "brand" which Serena has come to associate their art with. Despite being coined from a gag, In Your Closets represents Serena's desire for communicability, solidarity, and other often unapproachable topics that can haunt a person's closet. Themes of work Serena frequently explores within their own writings include trauma, sexuality, gender, health and education.

Serena has self published thin books for SOKO (discontinued), Paper Frame, Bloody Mary, and the Underground Kingdom as well as several fancomics for series like Overwatch and Dragon Age though their passion remains primarily in original concepts.
